1 pint strawberries
1 cup blueberries
3 T superfine sugar
2 T spiced rum
pinch salt
Wash, hull, and pit berries; halve lengthwise and place in a nonreactive bowl. Wash blueberries and add to strawberries.
Whisk together sugar, rum, and salt; drizzle over berries and combine.
Cover and refrigerate, stirring from time to time, for up to two hours.
